Inverse reciprocal trig

Evaluate csc⁻¹(x), sec⁻¹(x), and cot⁻¹(x). Shows conversion to standard inverse trig.

Function

Inverse reciprocal identities

csc⁻¹(x) = sin⁻¹(1/x). Domain: |x| ≥ 1.

sec⁻¹(x) = cos⁻¹(1/x). Domain: |x| ≥ 1.

cot⁻¹(x) = tan⁻¹(1/x) (adjusted for sign). Domain: all reals.

Common values

csc⁻¹(2) = 30°. sec⁻¹(2) = 60°. cot⁻¹(1) = 45°.
