Conditional probability calculator

Calculate P(A|B) — the probability of event A given that event B has occurred.

P(A and B)
P(B)

Conditional probability formula

P(A|B) = P(A ∩ B) / P(B)

If P(A∩B) = 0.3 and P(B) = 0.5, then P(A|B) = 0.3/0.5 = 0.6 or 60%.

Independence

Events are independent if P(A|B) = P(A). If knowing B occurred doesn't change the probability of A, they're independent.
